American Legion Post 10

Manassas post of the American Legion, Post 10, known as the Robert V. McMaugh Post. Part of the Sixteenth District of the Department of Virginia. Chartered in 1986. Named for Cpl. Robert Vincent McMaugh, a Marine Security Guard killed in the 1983 U.S. Embassy bombing in Beirut; the post's Social Quarters keeps a running online registry of American Legion license plates donated by visiting members from posts around the country, with 390 entries logged. Reported 684 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.
