American Legion Post 104

Appomattox post of the American Legion, Post 104, known as the Appomattox Court House Post. Part of the Tenth District of the Department of Virginia. Its original December 1919 charter application was lost in the Legion's early organizational confusion; the post re-chartered on November 4, 1930, built its current Post Home after WWII, and had it dedicated by General George C. Marshall on November 11, 1946. Reported 228 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.
