Floyd post of the American Legion, Post 127. Part of the Sixth District of the Department of Virginia. Helped erect the Floyd County Veterans Memorial in 2008 alongside VFW Post 7654, and is listed as an event venue on the county's Visit Floyd Virginia tourism site. The post rents its hall out. Reported 78 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

How to join
Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Reach the post through its Facebook page.
