Buckingham post of the American Legion, Post 134, known as the Claiborne Peaks (Department of Virginia's own website spells it 'Claborne Peaks'; the Farmville Herald and a member's Facebook bio both spell it 'Claiborne Peaks') Post. Part of the Tenth District of the Department of Virginia. Listed alongside Buckingham County's official social-services agencies in the county's 2026 community resource guidebook as the county's American Legion post. Reported 25 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.
