Orange post of the American Legion, Post 156, known as the Orange County Post. Part of the Thirteenth District of the Department of Virginia. Sponsors its own American Legion Junior Baseball team and hosts Memorial Day ceremonies at nearby Veterans Park; hall rents from $200/day (weekday) to $600/day (weekend) for up to 200 people, with a 50% member discount. The post rents its hall out. Reported 109 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

How to join
Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Details are on the post website.
