Pennington Gap post of the American Legion, Post 185, known as the Lambert Fleenor Bays Post. Part of the Eighth District of the Department of Virginia. Meets at Roosters Pub in Pennington Gap rather than a dedicated Legion hall. Reported 35 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

How to join

Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Call the post for details.
