Yorktown post of the American Legion, Post 1991, known as the Desert Storm Post. Part of the Third District of the Department of Virginia. Reported 27 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

How to join
Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Contact the post by email for details.
