Ruther Glen post of the American Legion, Post 221, known as the Caroline County Memorial Post. Part of the Twelfth District of the Department of Virginia. The post meets at Wright's Chapel United Methodist Church in Ruther Glen rather than a hall of its own. Reported 39 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

Schedule: 2nd Thursday of each month, 7:00 PM

How to join
