American Legion Post 240

Daleville post of the American Legion, Post 240, known as the Post 240 – Troutville Post. Part of the Ninth District of the Department of Virginia. Chartered on Armistice Day 1919, the post now shares a building with the VFW in Daleville, sponsors an American Legion Baseball team nicknamed the Bombers, and launched the Blue Star flag program that has since spread countywide across Botetourt. Reported 67 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.
