Salem post of the American Legion, Post 248, known as the Post 248 – Victory Post. Part of the Ninth District of the Department of Virginia. Meets monthly for lunch at the Jersey Lily Steakhouse in Salem rather than keeping a hall of its own. Reported 35 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

How to join

Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Call the post for details.
