Montross post of the American Legion, Post 252. Part of the Twelfth District of the Department of Virginia. The post's grounds include Hurt Field, used as a local ballfield and as a venue for community and county political gatherings (e.g. a Westmoreland County GOP mass meeting). Reported 35 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

How to join
