Triangle post of the American Legion, Post 28, known as the Quantico-Buck Keyes Post. Part of the Sixteenth District of the Department of Virginia. Provides a volunteer honor guard for the Direct Interment Program at Quantico National Cemetery, and finished a multi-year facility renovation (flooring, HVAC, kitchen, bathrooms, and a new mural) in 2026. The post rents its hall out. Reported 257 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

Schedule: Meets monthly; Department roster says 4th Saturday at 10:30 AM, but the district's own post-locator page says 4th Wednesday at 6:30 PM (see notes)

How to join
Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Details are on the post website.
