Danville post of the American Legion, Post 29, known as the Waldon France Post. Part of the Sixth District of the Department of Virginia. Chartered in 1946. Reported 108 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

How to join
Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Call the post for details.
