Pembroke post of the American Legion, Post 311, known as the Hilton-Taylor-Williams Post. Part of the Seventh District of the Department of Virginia. IRS nonprofit records (Cause IQ, EIN 35-2528849) show the post was founded in 1946 and has been tied to at least two different hall addresses over the years, Ball Park Road/Lane and Bowens Road, both in Pembroke. Reported 36 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.
