American Legion Post 327

NorfolkMilitaryFraternal

Norfolk post of the American Legion, Post 327, known as the Tidewater Post. Part of the Second District of the Department of Virginia. Chartered in 1947. Runs a bar/canteen ('social club') with its own separate phone line from the main post office, and rents its hall for events through its Bar Manager -- distinct enough that a third-party veterans directory (NRD.gov) lists the two numbers under different labels rather than as one contact. The post rents its hall out. Reported 1,071 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.
