Norfolk post of the American Legion, Post 35, known as the Junius F. Lynch Post. Part of the Second District of the Department of Virginia. Chartered in 1926. Sits on historic Willoughby Spit with a Chesapeake Bay-front back porch the post markets as 'Our Million Dollar View,' and has run an annual golf tournament for at least 17 years. The post rents its hall out. Reported 94 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

Meeting information
Schedule: 2nd Friday of each month, 7:00 PM (per Department roster). Second District's own site instead lists '2nd Tuesday at 7:00PM' -- discrepancy, not resolved.

How to join
Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Details are on the post website.
