Newport News post of the American Legion, Post 368, known as the Denbigh Post. Part of the Third District of the Department of Virginia. Runs a 'Be the One' mental-health-awareness initiative for veterans through its own website, and its business hours (Mon–Fri, 9 AM–2 PM) are posted directly on the post home page. The post rents its hall out. Reported 595 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

Schedule: 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM (general membership); executive board meets 1st Wednesday at 6:00 PM

How to join
Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Details are on the post website.
