American Legion Post 64

Tappahannock post of the American Legion, Post 64, known as the Franklin Durham Essex Post. Part of the Twelfth District of the Department of Virginia. In February 2024 the post held an informational meeting with American Legion Auxiliary Department of Virginia leadership to help establish a new Auxiliary unit at the post. Reported 41 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.
