Narrows post of the American Legion, Post 68. Part of the Seventh District of the Department of Virginia. The post donated a memorial granite bench near the honor wall at Narrows' Veterans Memorial Park and gave the Giles County Historical Society a new American flag to fly. Reported 41 members to the Department in June 2026. Members are wartime veterans who support fellow veterans and their families, run youth and Americanism programs, and take part in community service.

How to join
Membership is open to veterans who served on active duty during a recognised war era and were honourably discharged, and to those still serving. Call the post for details.
