Atkins Ruritan Club

Ruritan club serving Atkins in Smyth County. Members build handrails and drive elderly neighbors to doctor appointments, make shawls for nursing home residents, support the Atkins Volunteer Fire Department and VFW Post 4667 in Marion, and fund an annual scholarship for a local student's Jamestown historical trip. Ruritan is a rural and small-town service organization founded in Holland, Virginia in 1928, built on fellowship, goodwill and community service.
