Carter's Fort Chapter, NSDAR

Gate City chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, part of District IV of the Virginia state society. Organized in 1986. Named for Carter's Fort in the Rye Cove section of Scott County. The chapter serves its community through historic preservation, education, and patriotic work.

Schedule: Second Saturday of each month, September through May
How to join
Membership is open to women 18 and older who can document lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Membership details are on the chapter website.
