Its clubhouse, the 'Cartersville Ruritan House,' has served as the start/finish line for a local charity race (the 'Second Chance 5K Mission Run'). Ruritan is a rural and small-town service organization founded in Holland, Virginia in 1928, built on fellowship, goodwill and community service.
