Charles Parish Chapter, NSDAR

Poquoson chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, part of District I of the Virginia state society. Named for Charles River Shire, one of Virginia's eight original shires of 1634. Organizing regent Kitty O'Brien Joyner was NASA's first female engineer. The chapter serves its community through historic preservation, education, and patriotic work.
How to join
Membership is open to women 18 and older who can document lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Membership details are on the chapter website.
