Charlottesville Area Tree Stewards
CharlottesvilleEnvironmental
A volunteer group whose members support the area's rural and urban forests through public education, tree care, and canopy-restoration partnerships with local governments and civic groups. Trained stewards commit to at least 25 service hours a year.
How to join
Complete the Tree Steward training course (tuition $160, includes first-year membership dues); open to residents of Charlottesville and Albemarle, Greene, Fluvanna, Nelson, and Louisa counties.
