Colonel John Banister Chapter, NSDAR

Petersburg chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, part of District II of the Virginia state society. Organized in 1933. Named for Colonel John Banister, first mayor of Petersburg. Chartered with 102 members, then the largest organizing chapter in NSDAR. The chapter serves its community through historic preservation, education, and patriotic work.
Meeting information
Schedule: Third Saturday morning of each month, September through May, in Petersburg
How to join
Membership is open to women 18 and older who can document lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Membership details are on the chapter website.
