Smithfield chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, part of District I of the Virginia state society. Organized in 1925. Named for Colonel William Allen, Revolutionary officer of Claremont Manor in Surry. The chapter serves its community through historic preservation, education, and patriotic work.

Schedule: First Wednesday of the month, September through May
How to join
Membership is open to women 18 and older who can document lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Membership details are on the chapter website.
