Dochiki Club

A historically Black civic and social club in Newport News founded in 1940 by eleven men, originally called Los Amigos and renamed Dochiki in 1942. The club has owned its clubhouse on Chestnut Avenue since 1952 and has long supported local charities and civic causes.
