GFWC Wayland Woman's Club

Woman's club serving Rockingham County. Chartered in 1969. Since 2014, members have hand-sewn dresses from donated pillowcases and sheets, nearly 120 in one recent year, for a southwest Virginia charity serving children in need; historically ran 'Bridge-A-Rama,' a paired-bridge fundraiser. The General Federation of Women's Clubs is a volunteer service organization founded in 1890, and GFWC Virginia federates its clubs across eight districts of the Commonwealth.

Schedule: Monthly meetings (historically canceled/resumed around the pandemic per a 2021 article); ran a 'Bridge-A-Rama' bridge-fundraiser each year from September to April
