Colonial Beach chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, part of the Virginia Society. Organized in 1981. Named for President James Monroe. Holds an annual commemoration service for Monroe's April 28 birthday. Members preserve Revolutionary history through grave markings, color guard ceremonies, and youth awards.
How to join
Membership is open to men 18 and older who can document lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Details are on the website.
