Knights of Columbus Council 9507

Powhatan council of the Knights of Columbus, known as Fr. Val von Meysenbug Council 9507. Instituted in 1987. Attached to St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Runs a Pumpkin Patch with the Catholic Women's Organization, Friday Lenten Fish Fry dinners, a Keep Christ in Christmas card program, KOVAR fundraising for people with intellectual disabilities, and a tree-cutting/firewood donation program for elderly and needy Powhatan residents. Members carry out charitable work, support their parish, and raise funds for community causes.
