Lead Mines Ruritan Club

Ruritan club serving Lead Mines in Wythe County. In 1952 accepted title to the Jackson Ferry Shot Tower from the Stuart Chapter DAR, then in 1964 joined the Wytheville-Wythe County Chamber of Commerce in a fundraising campaign to buy the surrounding land and deed it to the Commonwealth, establishing what is now Shot Tower Historical State Park. Ruritan is a rural and small-town service organization founded in Holland, Virginia in 1928, built on fellowship, goodwill and community service.
How to join
Membership is open to adults in the community who are invited by a member and elected by the club. Details are on the club website.
