Lieutenant David Cox Chapter, SAR

Galax chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, part of the Virginia Society. Oldest of Virginia's seven Frontier Region chapters, chartered March 1948. Named for Lieutenant David Cox, who fought at Point Pleasant and King's Mountain. Members preserve Revolutionary history through grave markings, color guard ceremonies, and youth awards.
How to join
Membership is open to men 18 and older who can document lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Details are on the website.
