Martinsville club of Lions Clubs International, part of Virginia District 24-C. Chartered in 2009. Hosts monthly Bluegrass performances at the historic Rives Theatre and runs broom sales and White Cane fundraisers; the current club was formed in 2009 by merging three Martinsville/Henry County Lions clubs that each had declining, aging membership. Members raise funds for sight and hearing care and carry out service projects in their community.
Meeting information
Schedule: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 6:30 PM; meeting venue has moved over the years -- Hugo's in Uptown Martinsville (2023), West Piedmont Higher Education Center for at least one 2026 gathering; historically the Sirloin House/Pacific Bay Restaurant, 530 Commonwealth Blvd
