Mount Vernon Council of Citizens' Associations

An umbrella council founded in 1969 for the citizens' and civic associations of the Mount Vernon magisterial district of Fairfax County, along the Richmond Highway corridor south of Alexandria. It works through standing committees on planning and zoning, transportation, public safety, education, the environment and human services, and adopts resolutions that it carries to county government on behalf of its member associations.
