Newport Ruritan Club

Ruritan club serving Newport in Giles County. Sponsors the Village of Newport's July 4th Parade, Rubber Duck Race, and hot dog fundraiser at the Community Center, and maintains Newport Ruritan Park, where old tennis courts were converted into four new pickleball courts with a Mary Moody Northen Endowment grant. Ruritan is a rural and small-town service organization founded in Holland, Virginia in 1928, built on fellowship, goodwill and community service.
