Herndon club of Optimist International, part of the Capital-Virginia District. Organized in 1961. Runs seven youth sports programs serving over 2,000 children a year. Awards up to three 2,000 dollar scholarships annually to program participants. Members bring out the best in kids through youth programs, contests, and hands-on service.
