Pearisburg Junior Woman's Club

Woman's club serving Pearisburg in Giles County. A junior club, the federation's tier for younger adult members. Chartered in 1942. Distributes food to food-insecure students over school breaks and stocks the high school food closet, runs an annual Breakfast with Santa fundraiser, funds Mill Mountain Zoo field trips for kids, awards two scholarships to graduating seniors, and runs Dolly Parton's Imagination Library across Giles County. Won GFWC Virginia's Best Single Project (Large Club, Junior), Southwestern District, for its 'Home for the Holidays' project. The General Federation of Women's Clubs is a volunteer service organization founded in 1890, and GFWC Virginia federates its clubs across eight districts of the Commonwealth.
