Pungoteague Ruritan Club

Ruritan club serving Pungoteague in Accomack County. Chartered in 1931, the 10th oldest Ruritan club in the nation. Builds wheelchair ramps for low-income families as a longstanding key service project, and administers the Custis-Quinn Scholarship ($2,000 per student, $10,000 awarded to six graduates in 2025) for students in the Painter, Wachapreague, Melfa, Bobtown, or Nandua election districts of Accomack County and parts of Northampton County. Ruritan is a rural and small-town service organization founded in Holland, Virginia in 1928, built on fellowship, goodwill and community service.
