Richmond Volunteer Rescue Squad

Founded in 1960 as the West End Volunteer Rescue Squad and renamed after fifty-three years to reflect that it now serves the whole city. It is staffed entirely by volunteers and its work has grown beyond emergency response into clinical programmes and emergency medical education.
