Sergeant Major John Champe Chapter, SAR

Leesburg chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, part of the Virginia Society. Named for Sergeant Major John Champe, a Continental Army double agent who targeted Benedict Arnold. Maintains a monument built from stones of Champe's home. Members preserve Revolutionary history through grave markings, color guard ceremonies, and youth awards.
How to join
Membership is open to men 18 and older who can document lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. Details are on the website.
