Earlysville post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2044, known as the Champ J. Lawson Jr. and Douglas Hall Kirby Post. Part of District 13 of the Department of Virginia. Members are veterans of overseas service who support fellow veterans and their families, run the Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen youth essay contests, and take part in community service.

How to join

Membership is open to United States veterans and serving members who earned a campaign medal for overseas service, served in Korea, or received hostile fire or imminent danger pay. Call the post for details.
