Suffolk post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2582, known as the Joe Bagley Post. Part of District 2 of the Department of Virginia. Its senior muster date is 13 June 1938. Post 9382 of Suffolk consolidated into it in July 2022. The post rents its hall out. Members are veterans of overseas service who support fellow veterans and their families, run the Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen youth essay contests, and take part in community service.

How to join
Membership is open to United States veterans and serving members who earned a campaign medal for overseas service, served in Korea, or received hostile fire or imminent danger pay. Details are on the post website.
