VFW Post 4491

New Castle post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4491, known as the Craig Valley Post. Part of District 6 of the Department of Virginia. Chartered on 8 October 1945, awarded the VFW Diamond Jubilee for seventy-five years of service in 2020, and named All-American in 2021. The post provides military funeral honors and rents its hall out. Members are veterans of overseas service who support fellow veterans and their families, run the Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen youth essay contests, and take part in community service.
