Tazewell post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7136, known as the Barns-Beavers Post. Part of District 9 of the Department of Virginia. The post provides military funeral honors. Members are veterans of overseas service who support fellow veterans and their families, run the Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen youth essay contests, and take part in community service.

How to join
Membership is open to United States veterans and serving members who earned a campaign medal for overseas service, served in Korea, or received hostile fire or imminent danger pay. Call the post for details.
