Pounding Mill post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9640, known as the Casey-Shortt Post. Part of District 9 of the Department of Virginia. The post provides military funeral honors. Members are veterans of overseas service who support fellow veterans and their families, run the Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen youth essay contests, and take part in community service.

How to join

Membership is open to United States veterans and serving members who earned a campaign medal for overseas service, served in Korea, or received hostile fire or imminent danger pay. Reach the post through its Facebook page.
