Pamplin Historical Park rents several settings across its 424 acres southwest of Petersburg, on the ground where Union troops broke through the Confederate lines in April 1865. The largest is the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier, whose banquet room and domed rotunda hold receptions, with a caterer's prep area beside the cafe. Tudor Hall, a plantation house, has formal gardens, a courtyard and a lawn. At Hart Farm, couples marry on the steps of the 1850s farmhouse, and the barn takes small receptions; larger parties bring in a tent. The Education Center has audio and video equipment and an attached picnic pavilion, which suit meetings and company outings. The park hosts weddings, corporate events and private parties, and arranges each wedding individually.
