The Valentine, Richmond's history museum, rents parts of its campus at 10th and East Clay Streets downtown. The Wickham House was built between 1812 and 1815 for the lawyer John Wickham and is a National Historic Landmark. In 1898 it became the first home of the Valentine Museum. The museum also rents a multipurpose room and a terrace. Private meetings are booked through a request form, which the museum asks to receive at least a month ahead. Each reservation includes two spaces in the museum's lot on North 10th Street. Weddings, large parties and corporate events are arranged through the museum's planning partner.
