Weston Manor

Hopewell
Address: 400 Weston Lane, Hopewell, Virginia 23860
Rental space(s): Grounds, Winter Kitchen, Events Pavilion (opening 2027)

Weston Manor is a house built in 1789 for William and Christian Eppes Gilliam, overlooking the Appomattox River in Hopewell. It keeps much of its original woodwork, and Union troops occupied it in 1864. The Historic Hopewell Foundation rents the grounds and the Winter Kitchen for weddings, receptions, luncheons and meetings. Rentals are paused while the foundation builds a new Events Pavilion, which it expects to open in early 2027 with new packages and prices. The grounds are free to visit, and a pier gives access to the river. Guided tours of the house run Tuesday through Saturday and on Sunday afternoons.
